How calendar sync works

Two directions. Your HostTab calendar is a link those sites import: every night booked here shows there as "Reserved", so they stop selling it. Their calendars are links you paste here: every night they sell is blocked in HostTab, so you can't log a direct booking over it. The sites refresh an imported calendar every few hours; HostTab refreshes theirs when you open the app (at most every 2 hours) and when you tap Refresh. Names, phone numbers and prices never travel either way, only dates.

Where to paste it

Airbnb: Calendar, Availability settings, Connect calendars, Import calendar: paste the link, name it HostTab. Booking.com: Rates & Availability, Sync calendars, Import calendar. Then copy that site's export link and add it below, so their bookings block nights here too.

You're a co-host here: you can manage bookings, expenses, meter readings, cleaners and the cleaner link, and make owner statements. Billing, settings, backups, the team and deleting the property are managed by the owner.

Currency changes the label only — existing amounts are not converted.

Not set = Studio rates in Kenya. Picking Studio or 1-Bedroom (Kenya) fills in the standard rates below — Studio 2,500 a night / 1,500 day use, 1-Bedroom 3,500 / 2,000.

Used for new bookings. Existing bookings keep the rate they were created with.

The flat price of a same-day stay (e.g. 11 AM – 4 PM). Applied automatically when a booking is set to Day Use. Leave blank to use the default.

The dashboard gauges fill against these allowances and turn amber when you're on pace to exceed them.

Smart mode fills the gauges straight away from your hosted guest nights. Log a meter reading or a token top-up from a gauge any time and that month switches to your real numbers.

Stored privately in your account. Never included in the cleaner link — only in the check-in message you send a guest.

Guest Messages

Used by the one-tap WhatsApp templates (on any booking). Blank lines are simply left out of the message.

Cleaner Pay

Operations → Cleaner Pay uses this to show what you owe for each finished turnover.

Photos are evidence for a dispute, not an archive: after this long they are removed and the checklist, note and time stay. Shorter keeps the app lighter on data.

Owner Statements

Pre-fills the monthly Owner Statement (Dashboard → Owner Statement). Leave blank if there's no landlord.

Hop out to WhatsApp and back without retyping it. Lock and Sign Out always ask next time. Saved on this phone as soon as you pick.

Cleaner turnover link, dispatch, and evidence review have moved to the Operations tab in the bottom navigation.

These defaults drive the automatic amounts in Add Booking when a channel is selected: the partner share deducted from an Incoming Referral, and the fee you earn on an Outgoing Referral (a guest you send to another host — it counts as income only, never as a night at your unit). You can still override the amount per booking. Day Rest bookings always carry 0 referral deductions regardless of these defaults.

Your data is stored safely in your account. Backups are for peace of mind, moving to a new account, or handing records to an accountant.

Backups contain guest phone numbers and your WiFi password, so keep the file private. Cleaner photos and the cleaner link are not included.

    One private link for all your cleaners — no login, no PIN. It shows only upcoming check-outs, the next arrival and your cleaner instructions, then a 7-point checklist and 3 photos. Never rates, payments, guest phone numbers or private notes. Regenerating stops the old link working straight away.
